Why this work matters
Early childhood is a formative period in which children develop competences and shape their relationship with nature. This project aims to strengthen the position and quality of forest kindergartens within education systems.

Increase professional competence in enabling and managing risky play thoughtfully.
Raise public understanding of nature-based preschool education and forest kindergartens.
Planned reach
The project will provide training and workshops for 156 teachers, while dissemination is expected to reach at least 2,000 people directly.
European partnership
Coordinated by the Association of Forest Kindergartens in Slovakia, the partnership brings together organisations from across Europe.
